Polyester cotton fabric outperforms pure cotton in durability, wrinkle resistance, and cost, while pure cotton excels in breathability and softness. Polyester cotton (65/35) has 30% higher abrasion resistance and retains shape 80% better than pure cotton after washing. It dries 50% faster and shrinks 75% less, making it low-maintenance. Pure cotton is more breathable (18% higher moisture absorption) and feels softer against the skin, ideal for summer wear. Polyester cotton is cheaper—65/35 blends cost 20-30% less than premium cotton. For workwear or high-use items, polyester cotton is preferable; for casual or sensitive skin apparel, pure cotton may be better.
